Michael Mann, one of the climate scientists implicated with the Climategate scandal, has been exonerated by a Penn State inquiry board of three of the four allegations levied against him. The panel was unable to procure definitive evidence that Professor Mann acted on requests from British scientist Phil Jones to delete research data, evade Freedom of Information requests, or manipulate research data.

Al Gore cancels a presentation in Copenhagen for his new book. Scheduled for December 16th, the cancellation leaves many wondering what his motives are and if it is at all related to recent email leaks.

Al Gore has canceled a scheduled event to speak in Copenhagen and promote his new book Our Choice. Attendees who purchased tickets to hear the former US vice president and climate change speaker present his book in Denmark, will have to seek refunds for their ticket purchases.

Reported by the New York Times, Kalee Krieder, a Gore spokesperson, said the event was canceled "...because of all the breaking issues around the treaty talks...”

President Obama has not yet decided if he will attend COP 15 in two weeks.

The Climate Research unit confirmed the legitimacy of the private climate scientist emails that were leaked from their database, which may have damaging effects on the global warming movement.

In an event described by the Telegraph as Climategate, an unknown hacker broadcast hundreds of emails stolen from the databases of the Climate Research Unit in Norwich, UK (web site currently down due to increased traffic).
