Rice and feed bags are imported from Vietnam to Cambodia, where once the feed has been used the bags are purchased and collected by our group in Phnom Penn. The bags are then cut, sewn and assembled into various fashionable accessories. Rice and feed is imported to Cambodia due to the lack of its own agricultural economy after the devastating regime of Pol Pot. Recycled bag design varies.

About the Project:This group is made up of Cambodian artisans who are landmine and polio disabled and the underprivileged.With an emphasis on contributing to social development by providing training and employment opportunities, their training has enabled the artisans to become self-supporting and confident and to see themselves as individuals with abilities that contribute to the development of Cambodia. Due to the excellent quality of products produced and its associated projects, this group was awarded the 2004 UNESCO Seal of Excellence for Handicraft Products.
