After years of waiting, politicians, scientists, and environmental activists descended on Copenhagen, Denmark to kick off the two-week summit that could draft the world's next action plan to fight climate change. Environmentalist groups have camped outside the European Climate Exchange to protest the carbon market being proposed in Copenhagen, a method of adding incentive to carbon reductions that they say will not stop climate change, but will line the pockets of opportunistic corporations. Referring to the COP15 summit as "COP OUT," the Camp for Climate Action plans to demonstrate for at least 48 hours in an attempt to show world-leaders that their citizens are wise to that "it's just business as usual in Copenhagen."
