Olympus Photo of African People Capturing Elephants

The United Nations Development Programme is hosting a photography contest in Ethiopia for photographers to submit their pictures showing people working to positively impact climate change. Co-sponsors, Olympus Corp. and the Agence France-Press Foundation have united with the United Nations Development Programme to help find the photo or collection of photos that best depict the title "Picture This: Caring for the Earth" and which will be judged by Nobel Peace Prize winner Wangari Maathai along with internationally recognized Peter Magubane, three other professional photojournalists.

The First prize winners will see their works shown in New York, Tokyo and Johannesburg. Winners will also receive an Olympus digital camera. The Agence France-Press will select one of the winners to attend a two-week working fellowship with their news bureau in Africa.
