GAS: Gerard and Ashley Schoenfeld Overcome ALS to Revive Father's Painting Techniques

Gerard and Ashley Schoenfeld are a father and daughter team who work together to produce unique paintings. The story begins with Gerard Schoenfeld who was afflicted with Lou Gehrig's disease also known as ALS in August of 2006. Losing his motor skills meant he had to put away his paints and brushes until his 13 year old Daughter, Ashley Schoenfeld, offered him her hands.

Beginning as an apprenticeship, Ashely underwent five hours of training a day until she had mastered her dad's methods. Together they inspired one-another to create collaborative works of art with some paintings selling upwards of $3000 to raise money for the family.
