Ecoscene/Aimee Heilbrunn Interview at Green Festival Denver

In this podcast, Aimee Heilbrunn of Ecoscene talks to EcoFactory staff reporter Rima LeBlanc about her company. Ecoscene is made up of a group of testers who try out eco-friendly products and evaluate them to determine how useful and effective they are. The basic idea behind the company is that consumers should know which products truly deliver what they claim to be green. Evaluations are posted on Ecoscene's website.

Ecoscene has evaluated a variety of green products from composters, to cleaning products, cosmetics and a slew of other eco-friendly products. The Ecoscene team hopes to continue to maintain a variety of product types in their testing. For this reason, says Heilbrunn, Ecoscene does not attempt to test every brand within a category.

As for women's products like cosmetics, Ecoscene has recently unveiled an "Ecoscene for Her" vein of the Ecoscene website.

Ecoscene's evaluations aren't based on numbers or letters; they just give an overall evaluation of whether green products are worth buying. An "Ecoscene approved" label is given to products that go above and beyond being merely green according to Aimee Heilbrunn.
