Planting For Peace

Planting for Peace, organized by Louise Sheehy of the Multifaith Education Project in Winter Park, Florida, brought the children of three faiths together to plant trees in the name of peace. Christian, Jewish and Islamic children gathered in downtown Winter Park on April 22, 2009 (Earth Day) to plant three trees in the name of peace.

Each tree was blessed by one child of each of the respective faiths before the trees received their first planted watering. The event was recording in this video.
