Greenpeace Director Challenges World Leaders at Copenhagen

Kumi Naidoo, Greenpeace International's newly-appointed director, issued a challenge to world leaders to craft a "fair, ambitious, and binding deal." Naidoo puts special emphasis on Barack Obama to attend the COP15 summit simultaneously with other world leaders, instead of two-weeks prior when en route to accept the Nobel Peace Prize. President Obama has since changed his schedule to attend with world leaders on the final days. Naidoo specifically quotes some of Obama's assessments on the severity of climate change that the then-Senator made when campaigning for presidency. Naidoo asserts that as bad as the situation was then, it is even worse now.
