Al Gore Pitches American Clean Energy and Security Act to Congress

Al Gore says the passage of the American Clean Energy and Security Act is a moral imperative. Gore claims ACES is a bill that is as important to our time as the Civil Rights legislation was to the minorities of the 1960's and the Marshall Plan of was to America during the 1940's.

Addressing the House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee, Gore insists "Each day that we continue on our current path, America loses more of its competitive edge. And each day that we wait we increase the risk that we will leave our children and grandchildren an irreparable damaged planet. Passage of this legislation," adds Gore,"will restore America's leadership of the world and begin at long last to solve the climate crisis....the scientific evidence....continues to amass week after week."
