IT/Data Center Managers LOSING MONEY Every Day!
The news is that Data Centers are not meat lockers. When I managed the huge AT&T mainframe and DASD/Teradata (storage), and then server farms, the data center was cold, meat locker cold, and had to be. Data Centers had to be cold in those days due to the electronics of the machines and the available technology for heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. The heat generated by all those machines required cold data center rooms for performance prior to the year 2000 or even earlier.
